01 What we fix
Doors and openers fail as a system, so we service the whole system — no “that’s a different trade” handballing.
Jammed, off-track, noisy or storm-damaged doors put right — roller, panel and tilt doors repaired at your property.
Snapped torsion springs and frayed cables are the most common — and most dangerous — failures. We replace them safely with matched, tensioned parts.
Motor hums but the door won’t move? Grinding, stopping halfway, or dead altogether? We diagnose and repair all major opener motors on site.
Lost remotes, dead keypads and receivers that won’t pair. We supply, code and test genuine replacement remotes for every major brand.
Slack chains, worn belts and stripped drive gears make openers loud and unreliable. We re-tension or replace the drive so it runs quietly again.
A door that reverses for no reason usually has misaligned or failed photo-eye sensors. We realign, rewire or replace them and verify the safety reverse.
When a motor owes you nothing, we fit a new Merlin, B&D, Grifco or ATA opener sized to your door — installed, programmed and thoroughly tested.
Car trapped inside, door stuck open at night, spring gone before work — the 24/7 emergency line gets a technician moving when it can’t wait.
Power outage shouldn’t mean a door that won’t open. We add battery backup to compatible openers so you’re never locked in — or out.
An annual service — lubrication, balance check, tension adjustment, safety test — keeps doors quiet and catches small faults before they strand you.
We service Merlin, B&D, Grifco, ATA and all major brands. Describe the fault: (03) 8789 3263

Backed by AGG Doors — repairing Melbourne garage doors since 1999.
03 How it works
Tell us the suburb and what the door’s doing. A photo helps us load the right parts.
The technician checks the full system — door, springs, cables, tracks, motor, sensors.
You get one price before work starts. Approve it and we begin; decline and you owe the callout only.
We run the door through full cycles, check the safety reverse, and back the work in writing.

My 15 year old B&D sectional door has never run better. Honestly thought I was going to be up for a new motor. Called AGG after two other places didn’t pick up their phone. They answered immediately (great office admin person, too), gave me a booking within 24 hours, turned up on time, fixed everything and even firmware updated the motor. I was sent photos showing all diagnostic data and had a bunch of parts fixed/replaced. Door is perfect now.

New garage door installed, but the fitter noticed some defects in the supplied door (minor to my eye), and took photos. A little while later they got in touch to let us know they would be replacing the door. Now replaced. I’m incredibly impressed by the service and care taken to get the best result for me, even when I hadn’t noticed the defects they were concerned about. Thanks to AGG, and well done.
★★★★★
Above and beyond service. The technician was clearly highly experienced and identified and fixed the issue, well within the allocated time frame of the initial call out fee. Will definitely use AGG Doors again, highly recommended!

We hadn’t had our door serviced before but Sam was friendly, professional and did quality work.

Malcolm came around to look at our door opener and perform a service. Not only did he replace the unit under warranty, he fixed a minor cosmetic issue and made sure the new opener worked flawlessly. Professional and expert.

Our initial call-out fee is $240, including GST and technician labour. Any minor repairs or parts needed are additional. A full replacement typically starts from $899, including parts and labour. You’ll receive a clear quote before any work begins, with no surprises.
If it is under 8 years old with an isolated fault, repair usually makes sense. For an older motor that is repeatedly failing or has unavailable parts, replacement is the smarter long-term investment. We’ll show you both options upfront.
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency call-outs across Melbourne, including weekends and evenings. Call (03) 8789 3264 for urgent assistance.
We accept cash, cheque, credit card, EFTPOS and PayPal. All our service vans carry a mobile EFTPOS machine, and PayPal is available online through our website.
Most garage door openers typically last around 10–15 years with regular servicing and maintenance. Signs that an opener may be nearing the end of its lifespan include slow operation, grinding or unusual noises, intermittent performance, or failure to engage properly. If you’re experiencing any of these issues, we can arrange for a technician to inspect the unit and advise whether a repair or replacement would be the most cost-effective option.
